MOBILE SMA ANTENNA.
It is primarily used to provide or enhance cellular reception (2G, 3G, and 4G/LTE) for Teltonika’s industrial networking hardware.
1. Compatible Devices
This antenna is a standard accessory for almost all of Teltonika’s mobile routers and gateways that have an SMA Female connector. It is commonly used with:
-
RUT Series: RUT200, RUT240, RUT241, RUT360, RUT950, RUT955, RUT956.
-
RUTX Series: RUTX09, RUTX11, RUTX12, RUTX14, RUTXR1.
-
TRB Gateways: TRB140, TRB141, TRB142, TRB145, TRB245, TRB255.
-
TRM Modems: TRM240, TRM250.
2. Typical Usage Scenarios
The PR1US440 is used in environments where a stable mobile connection is critical:
-
Inside Industrial Cabinets: If a router is placed inside a metal electrical cabinet (which blocks signals), this antenna is often connected via an extension cable to the outside of the box to catch the signal.
-
Remote Locations: It is used in rural or industrial sites (like wind farms or water treatment plants) to boost the 4G/LTE signal in areas where reception is weak.
-
Fleet & Transport: It is often the default antenna used for routers installed in buses, trucks, or trains to provide Wi-Fi to passengers or track GPS data.
-
Backup Internet: In offices, it is used on a router (like the RUTX11) as a "failover" antenna—so if the main fiber internet goes down, the antenna ensures the LTE backup has a strong enough signal to take over.
3. Key Technical Specs
-
Connector: SMA Male (the screw-on type with a pin in the middle).
-
Frequency Range: 698–960 MHz / 1710–2690 MHz (covers all global 4G LTE bands).
-
Gain: 3.0 – 4.0 dBi (this provides a moderate boost over standard internal antennas).
-
Design: It usually features a swivel/hinge design, allowing you to angle it 90 degrees to clear space or align it with the nearest cell tower.
