To connect older devices with scart output, to modern TVs and projectors with HDMI input. It converts the analog format 576I (PAL), to a digital 720p / 1080p HDMI audio and image signal. In addition to audio via HDMI, the converter also has outputs for extracting sound through 3.5mm directly to headphones and coaxial for, for example, receiver with digital audio input.
