 Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE is theresult of a joint development between German optics specialistSchneider-Kreuznach and Samyang. Despite its compact size, measuring only 88.8mm in length, it houses a sophisticated optical design with 15 elements in 11groups. This includes 3 aspherical, 5 high-refractive, and 3 extra-lowdispersion elements, all working together to deliver edge-to-edge sharpnesswith minimal chromatic aberration and distortion. The effective correction ofsagittal coma and other optical flaws makes this lens particularly well-suitedfor nightscapes and astrophotography. Its constant f/2.8 aperture ensuresexcellent low-light performance across the zoom range.Unlike manyultra-wide zooms, the AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE allows for the use of standard 77mmfilters, giving users the creative flexibility to attach polarizers and NDfilters with ease.With a consistentminimum focusing distance of just 0.18 meters throughout the entire zoom range,the lens enables up to 0.26x magnificationâideal for impactful close-up shots.Its robust construction features weather-sealing for reliable protectionagainst water droplets, light rain, snow, and dust, making it a dependablecompanion in challenging environments.
